Self Catering at Milk Harbour

For All Levels of Horse Riding Experience (and non-riders)

Due to popular demand for self catering we at Island View Riding Stables  have partnered up with superhosts Steve and Geraldine from Milk Harbour Holidays, the renovated boatbuilders workshop turned boutique apartments.  Situated at Milk Harbour, its only a 5 minute drive from the stables. Milk Harbour Holidays offers two apartments with sea views, access to the seashore and is an ideal location for both exploring North Sligo and South Donegal and relaxing.

Minimum stay 3 Nights. Available all year round. Maximum occupancy : 6 guests, (2 guests in the Boathouse and 4 guests in The Forge).
Steve and Geraldine will deal with enquiries and bookings for the self-catering accommodation, so please get in touch with them, if you wish to book one of these tranquil self-catering apartments.

Both apartments are on the ground floor and have open plan living rooms with fully equipped kitchens (oven, hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher), wood burning stoves, TV and WiFi.

The Boathouse (see below) has views towards Slieve League and Classiebawn Castle and is for two guests with one bedroom with a king size bed, and a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

The Forge (see below) with views towards Ben Bulben and Milk Harbour is for four guests with two double en-suite bedrooms each with either twin or super king-sized beds. One bedroom can be accessed by a ramp and has a wet room.
Guests can access laundry facilities and have their own parking space, private entrance and outside seating.
There is plenty to do, with table tennis and badminton kit in the large boathouse communal area as well as books, games and yoga mats in each apartment.

Car hire is recommended, but not essential. There is a taxi service available locally and the local link bus offers basic connections to Sligo, Mullaghmore, Bundoran or Ballyshannon.

Your options for added horse riding holidays are:

  • Atlantic Trailweek riding (6 nights,  approx. 24 hours riding Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, arrival day Monday):
    Adult €1300, Child €1200
  • Mix and Match. 15 sessions / hours riding per person (arrival any day of the week):
    Adult €825, Child €750
  • Price List riding – if you want to book just a few  sessions/ hours riding
    Adult €60 , Child €55  per hour/ session
